Fresh Tomato and Basil Salad
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh tomatoes, chopped (or halved if using cherry tomatoes)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn or chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice)
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes and fresh basil.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently toss the salad to combine all ingredients.
- Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve fresh.
